We consider finding a freelancer with the exact skill requirements as important as finding you a permanent member of staff which is why we have a specialist team dedicated to solely managing freelance professionals.
We understand that more often than not you need freelancers to help you meet that impossible deadline or bring new ideas to the table and they need to do this with no hand holding, training or supervision. To ensure we get the right match we will take time out well in advance of your first requirement to visit your office and meet with you to understand the intricacies of the way you work and common needs. Then when that crisis arises, or unexpected turn is taken we can respond with pace and accuracy.

Payment
Paying you on time is as important to us as getting you work so follow this simple timeframe and everything will run smoothly.
PAYE candidates
When you embark on your first freelance assignment through Purple we need to get the following information from you to set you up on our payroll:
- A P45/ completed P46 ( P46 PDF is available to download here )
- National Insurance Number
- Bank
- Bank Account Number
- Sort Code
- Account Name
- Date of Birth
It is important you then complete a timesheet ( Purple timesheet is available to download here ) recording all the hours you work. Then at the end of the week, or the end of your assignment if it is shorter, get the timesheet signed by your line manager and returned to us. If you work until Friday please make sure you get the timesheet to us by 10am the following Monday. We will then pay you straight in to your bank account that Friday.
Ltd Company Contractors
If you are a Ltd company contractor then before you start your first role through Purple you will be required to provide us with a Certificate of Incorporation, your company bank details and VAT certificate if indeed you are VAT registered.
Please fill in the hours you work on a timesheet ( Purple timesheet is available to download here ). If you work until Friday please make sure you get the timesheet to us by 10am the following Monday. We will then pay the money in to your company bank account that Friday.
Holiday Pay
Under current employment legislation freelancers are now awarded holiday pay on a pro-rata basis of 20 days per year. If your salary is paid via Purple 8.33% is included in your gross hourly/ daily rate to cover this allowance.
