Front End Technical Lead / Technical Manager - Actionscript 3, Flash, Jquery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS. - Award Winning Online Retailer

This is a great opportunity for a senior flash developer / front end technical lead with previous man management experience to join one of the UKs most successful online fashion retailers. The successful applicant will manage the creative web development team(1 Flash Develoepr, 5 web developers), lead technical direction of individual projects and be responsible for ensuring overall front end output is engaging, market-leading and technically efficient. As the creative technical Lead you will have excellent hands on coding experience using Actionscript 3 / Flash and JQuery and a solid understanding of accessible XHTML and CSS.

Main responsibilities

-To collaborate with designers, creating html and flash applications for original design concepts on a daily basis

-To act as a technical reference point for members of the development team and to provide guidance, mentoring and skills development.

- To establish objectives for each member of their Development team that are clearly defined, measurable and achievable and to align these goals with the strategic priorities of the Creative Development Team. Thereafter, to motivate their team to meet/exceed these objectives.

- To liaise closely with Creative Managers, Snr Designers and representatives in IT to understand the business and technical requirements of allocated projects and to translate these requirements into formal Development plans.





Key Software Skills:

Proficiency with the following software applications:

* Actionscript 3

* OOP

* Advanced HTML/JS/CSS

* JQuery

* Mainstream opensource flash libraries (Tweener, Papervision3D, Bulkloader, Teenmax, etc.)

Skills and Experience

* Effective leadership on technical matters (coding approach).

* Significant previous Line Management experience, having worked on multiple projects as a Senior Developer

* Knowledge of usability and accessibility issues and standards.

* Excellent business presentation and communication skills, and a diplomatic nature
