I have a fantastic opportunity for an established senior frontend developer with excellent XHTML, CSS and JavaScript experience to work in one of Londons best digital boutiques.

As a senior and important member of the agencies technology team, you will be the leader and mentor on interface / frontend development projects whilst exercising your server-side competency to integrate with popular CMS and beyond.





Requirements

* Must have experience of working in a creative agency

* Be involved in the conceptual phase of projects and project estimations through to mentoring of developers junior in position or knowledge

* Provide thought leadership to the business around innovative uses of interface technologies

* Hand coding of (X)HTML / CSS / Javascript to W3C standards

* Understanding of accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, SEO and CSS bugs

* Ability to work in Photoshop to extract assets

* Expertise in PHP and ideally other server-side languages/technologies

* Knowledge of open-source technologies, particularly CMS including Wordpress, Joomla! and Drupal

* Knowledge and experience with MySQL

* Source control experience, particularly using Subversion

* Strong interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills



Highly Regarded

* Previous experience working with the BBC

* Knowledge of software engineering principles

* Experience with any commercial enterprise CMS

* Server administration knowledge (Apache, IIS, other)



As necessary, you will be required to work autonomously on projects, from styling existing code bundles to completing large CMS-driven ground-up builds to the strictest of standards for marquee clients.



Reporting into the Technical Director, you will work closely with creative leads, project managers, user experience designers and fellow developers in delivering a wide range of client solutions.
