Senior PHP Developer / Web Developer -Symfony, PHP 5, MySQL, AJAX, JavaScript - Established Digital Agency <br/>

I am looking for an experienced PHP Web Developer with previous experience of the Symfony framework. You will be joining an established team of PHP developers with a wealth of experience creating Marketing and eCommerce sites for a broad range of international blue-chip clients. The agency also produce smaller scale sites and blogs for their clients so an understanding and experience off a variety of PHP frameworks and CMSs would be highly beneficial.

As an experienced PHP developer you will be expected to have hands on experience utilizing industry standard design patterns such as MVC and OO principles and will be excited about the opportunity to utilize these principles when playing a part in scoping and architecting projects.

An overview of the key skills required include:



* Good knowledge of the Symfony Framework

* Good knowledge of the principles and advantages of MVC, OO.

* Good knowledge of SQL, specifically MySQL including schema design, knowledge of optimising and indexing tables.

* Good knowledge of Unix environments including servers for Apache, MySQL, PHP, Subversion, FTP and general server maintenance.

* Good knowledge of HTML doctypes and the resulting implications, good knowledge of CSS including cross browser support, good knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery and performance techniques.

* Ability to advise design team on possibility, practicality and complexity of implementing designs.

* Ability to confidently answer various technical questions from accounts team and clients.

* Experience with and good understanding of version control, specifically Subversion.
